FC Bayern Youth Cup National Finals Head to Zimbabwe and the United States, Supported by Football.Enterprises
Select players in Bulawayo and Chula Vista Earn Places at the FC Bayern Youth Cup in Munich, October 15–17
Charleston, SC — The 2026 FIFA World Cup may be over, but the next chapter of the global game begins in just over a month. The FC Bayern Youth Cup, hosted at FC Bayern Munich’s headquarters in Munich, takes place October 15–17, 2026, and two National Finals supported by Football.Enterprises Inc. will decide which young players from Zimbabwe and the United States will be there.
The Zimbabwe National Final will be held on Saturday, September 12 at White City Stadium in Bulawayo. The United States National Final follows on Saturday, September 26 at the FC Bayern Residential Academy in Chula Vista, California.
Each event will select 10 players to represent their country at the FC Bayern Youth Cup in Munich in October.
The Bulawayo event is sanctioned by the Zimbabwe Football Association and is exclusively operated by FC Bayern Munich and Football.Enterprises. The Chula Vista event is likewise exclusively operated by the same parties.
FC Bayern staff and Football.Enterprises Zimbabwe Director, Wilbert Sibanda, will available to the media upon advance request in Bulawayo. No FC Bayern Munich or Football.Enterprises senior leadership will be onsite for these events. The event in Bulawayo is not open to the public.
Separately, through its relationship with FC Bayern Munich, Football.Enterprises will send two players to the FC Bayern Munich Global Academy to live in residence in Munich with the club. One of those players has already been identified, from Ghana.
“Talent is everywhere, but the pathway to prove it is not,” said Peter Grieve, Chairman of Football.Enterprises Inc. “What we are doing with FC Bayern in Bulawayo and Chula Vista is simple: put a real door in front of young players and let them walk through it on merit. Ten from Zimbabwe and ten from the United States will represent select teams in Munich this October, and two more will move into residence at the Global Academy — one of them already identified in Ghana. That is what a genuine development pipeline looks like, and we intend to keep building it.”
