Football.Enterprises Inc. Closes Early-Stage Investment Round Backed by Clubhouse Capital, Professional Athletes, and Financial Industry Veterans
Charleston, SC – Football.Enterprises Inc., an emerging global football investment platform focused on the football (soccer) industry, today announced the successful closing of its Early Stage funding round, attracting a diverse group of high-profile investors from the worlds of professional sports, finance, and venture capital.
The round was led by Clubhouse Capital, an athlete-driven investment firm supported by several active Major League Baseball (MLB) players, alongside participation from a future Hall of Fame player from the National Hockey League (NHL), a group of former Goldman Sachs executives, and the strategic investment platform Sport Venture Group.
“We are thrilled to have the backing of such a unique and high-caliber group of investors who share our vision for transforming the global football landscape,” said Jaime Shamis, President of Football.Enterprises Inc. “Their collective expertise in performance, business, and leadership brings a powerful combination of strategic value and cultural alignment as we scale our global platform.”
The capital from this round will support Football.Enterprises’ early investments in football clubs and infrastructure, as well as the development of its proprietary strategy to unlock value through data, fan engagement, media innovation and grassroots player development in football markets worldwide.
Clubhouse Capital Managing Partner Fred Sharp added, “Football.Enterprises is creating a forward-thinking and disciplined platform in a sport that is rapidly evolving both on and off the pitch. We’re proud to partner with a company committed to building responsibly and inclusively in one of the world’s most dynamic ecosystems.”
This early backing sets the stage for Football.Enterprises’ continued growth, which includes the previously announced $250 million Strategic Investment by Global Emerging Markets in March of 2024 aimed at expanding its footprint across Europe, Latin America, and other high-potential football markets.
